About Me

Hi, I’m Laura!

I am capable of creating art in many different styles for different purposes, such as detailed illustrations, storyboarding or concept art for your project. My favourite things to draw are expressive scenes, characters and creatures, especially dragons!

I’m currently based in the idyllic Lake District. My favourite activities are exploring the wilderness and nature while fell walking, enjoying the joys and thrills within theme parks, birdwatching and of course doodling many characters I have created over the years. When it comes to these interests I can get excited and eager to speak for hours about these topics. It helps a lot when it comes to brainstorming and getting ideas during a project.

My history and experience

My working life begins after studying at Axe Sud Toulouse, in France. After completing my studies I started working for RWS Web Solutions, who run Flex4 OPS and Mintcake Digital.

Web Design and Front End Development

I have worked at Flex4 for over 6 years, during this time I learned the fundamentals of web design, basic SEO and speed optimisation. The websites I create are made through Wordpress, of which we work from our own in-house custom themes. This taught me a lot about PHP, CSS and Javascript to create revenue-generating websites for our customers. This time would also be spent honing my design skills.

NextGen Showcase

In 2022, I joined the NextGen Showcase, a programme to learn the ropes within the theme park industry. I've always been fascinated by concept art and taking on this role, but until now I had not had many opportunities. During this course I was able to use my drawing skills as a hobbyist, now in a more professional manner. Working alongside my team was a fantastic experience.
